  • The Baila Wichita: Afro-Latin Dance & Music Festival is a multi-day celebration of Afro-Latin dance, music, history, and culture featuring workshops, live music, social dancing, performances, and educational programming for all experience levels.

  • Not at all! We offer beginner-friendly classes as well as workshops for intermediate and advanced dancers.

Tickets & Registration

  • The main festival headquarters is at the Carl Brewer Community Center. All workshops and educational programmings will be held at the center. Socials will be held throughout the city at Itzacali Tapas & Tequila Restaurant, Venue 3130 and Baila Wichita Studio. Please refer to the festival venue information above for more details.

  • Yes! All locations are ADA accessible.

  • No. Partner rotation is encouraged during workshops, so you can attend on your own or with friends.

  • Absolutely! Our socials are welcoming, beginner-friendly, and designed to create a fun, inclusive atmosphere.

  • There's no formal dress code. Wear comfortable clothing and shoes that allow you to dance and move comfortably. It is recommended to bring a bottle of water and a towel to your workshops.

  • Yes! We're excited to feature Tumbao, Wichita's premier salsa band, along with additional live musical performances throughout the weekend.

  • The festival includes cultural presentations and discussions exploring the history, traditions, and evolution of Afro-Latin dance and music, including a special presentation by Dr. Wilfredo José Burgos-Matos.

  • All locations have on-site parking available. All parking costs will vary by location. Please refer to local venue information for more details.

  • A Full Festival Pass includes access to workshops, social dance events, performances, cultural presentations, and other pass-inclusive programming throughout the weekend.

  • Yes! Select workshops, socials, performances, and special events may be available individually, subject to capacity.

  • Festival passes are non-refundable but may be transferable.

  • Pass holders can pick up their wristbands at the Friday social at Baila Wichita or Saturday starting at 8:30 at the Carl Brewer Center.
